Esquires, in Bedford, has stepped in following the cancellation of Alt-Fest to host Theatre Of Hate and Skeletal Family who play tomorrow night, Friday.

Post punk headlinders Theatre Of Hate were formed in 1980 by Kirk Brandon (pictured) from the ashes of heralded band The Pack.

Joining Kirk were notable punk musicians Stan Stammers and Luke Rendall, along with school friend, Steve Guthrie and Canadian born John Lennard.

Their debut album, produced by Mick Jones from The Clash and released in 1982, held the number one position for 21 weeks.

The single taken from the album, Do You Believe In The Westworld? has become an anthem and is still widely played.

After imploding in 1982 the band has resurfaced over the years and were reunited when The Damned played at the London’s Roundhouse last year.
