Northamptonshire’s Sacred Mother Tongue play a rescheduled homecoming gig at the Roadmender tonight.

The band have recently supported legendary New York metallers Anthrax and will round the year off later this month supporting Californian industrial-metal heroes Fear Factory at London’s KOKO.

SMT’s latest EP, A Light Shines, was released in September. The video for the lead single, Evolve / Become clocked up more than 10,000 views online in less than 24 hours.

A Light Shines precedes
the band’s second album, Out Of The Darkness, which is due out
on March 4 next year via Services / Transcend Music.

Their debut, The Ruin Of Man, was released in 2009.

SMT’s rock metal crossover has seen them play at the likes of Download and Sonsiphere in the UK and on the European circuit.

SMT play the Roadmender in Lady’s Lane, Northampton, tonight.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 in advance.
