Liane Carroll returns to the Black Bottom Club on Thursday to help raise money for Northampton charity, CAN.
Liane started playing the piano when she was three and in 1988 joined Trevor Watts’ Moire Music featuring Liam Genockey, Nana Tsiboe and Simon Picard – embarking on several world tours.
After leaving the band she appeared with varied line-ups before forming her own trio.
Liane has won numerous jazz awards including the 2008 Parliamentary Jazz Award for musician of the year, Best Female Vocalist and Best of Jazz at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2005 and Best Vocalist at the British Jazz Awards in 2006.
