Thousands of people are expected to attend the ninth Walk in the Park festival this weekend.
The headline act for this year’s event, being held in Wootton Rec tomorrow and Saturday, is Bay City Rollers lead singer, Les McKeown.
The popular 1970s’ singer will be joined tomorrow by X Factor finalists, MK1, Katrina, from Katrina and the Waves ,and US soul singer, Kym Mazelle.
Brandon Eldred, chairman of the organising committee, said: “We’ve got a fantastic line-up for our Friday night spectacular and the interest has been great.
“MK1 are great and we’re flattered they’ve included our event as part of a UK tour, while Katrina and Kym are fantastic entertainers too.
“Our visitors will have a terrific family night out.”
Admission to Saturday’s family fun day is free, with more live music from local bands, including OddChild.
Tickets for Friday’s performance are available via www.walkintheparkfestival.co.uk and on the gate.
Gates on Friday open at 6pm, and the Saturday runs from 11am to 8pm.
