Heads South play their Latin jazz rhythms and grooves at The Castle in Wellingborough on Thursday, May 2.
The Band’s five-piece line-up is led by pianist composer, John Harriman, and features jazz trumpeter Steve Waterman, Cuban percussionist Chino Martell Morgan, the versatile Buster Birch on drums, and Venezuelan bassplayer Aldofredo Pulido.
The music is fresh, encompassing memorable new tunes such as El Cardenal, Juntito and Sweet Swan to new arrangements of classics ,such as Besame Mucho and Mack The Knife.
Think Buena Vista Social Club in a smaller package, and add the excitement of jazz and great new melody.
