A band is celebrating getting its first big break after being booked to play a festival which could see them perform in front of more than 10,000 people.
Kettering-based indie band The Incidents have been booked to play this year’s Glastonbudget festival in Leicestershire in June, which was attended by about 15,000 people last year.
The group was formed in 2009 by Sam Gilbert, 17, with brother Harry, 15, and Bishop Stopford schoolmates Alex Smith, 17, and Henry Hudson, 16. The group, whose influences include The Smiths, The Strokes and The Ramones, was booked after a well received set in Leicester.
Band songwriter Sam said: “When we found out, we were shouting in the back of the van.
“We’re really, really chuffed, and we’re going to play a very loud set.”
