The 1980s will return to Royal & Derngate on Thursday October 24 as three critically acclaimed legends of the era, Go West, Hue and Cry and special guests The Christians join forces on a special triple bill.

Go West’s 1984 debut hit, We Close Our Eyes, became an early favourite on MTV and, after more hits with Call Me and Don’t Look Down, the duo again proved themselves in step with the zeitgeist with One Way Street, from the Rocky IV soundtrack.

Singer Peter Cox embarked on a solo career in 1997, but reunited with guitarist and vocalist Richard Drummie in 2007.

Formed in 1983 by Scottish brothers Pat and Greg Kane, Hue and Cry are best known for the hits Labour of Love, Looking for Linda and Violently (Your Words Hit Me).

They will be treating their Northampton fans to an acoustic set.

The Christians celebrated their 25th anniversary last year with a new album, Speed of Life.

Their first five singles, including Ideal World, all made the Top 40, and their sixth consecutive hit, 1988’s Harvest for the World, climbed to no. 8. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £30 by calling 01604 624811 or www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
