Glam rock behemoths, Slade and Sweet, head to Milton Keynes Theatre this weekend as part of their joint UK tour.
During the 1970s, both bands were at the forefront of the glam rock movement.
Slade became one of Europe’s biggest bands, touring and recording continuously, producing a catalogue of hits that became synonymous with the era including Cum On Feel The Noize, Merry Xmas Everybody and Coz I Luv You.
The band’s current line up features Dave Hill, Don Powell, John Berry and Mal McNulty.
With their quintessential glam and androgynous looks, Sweet have sold more than 55 million album worldwide. Block Buster! topped the singles chart in 1973, followedby the likes of The Ballroom Blitz and Teenage Rampage.
Sweet comprise of Pete Lincoln, Andy Scott, Tony O’Hora and Bruce Bisland.
