Sheffield folk rockers,Dead Like Harry, headline the Kontra Roots Club tomorrow.
With music that is coloured by blues and country, the band – focused around the songwriting and vocal talents of Matt Taylor and Alice Faraday – perform honest, from-the-heart songs.
They have supported the likes of The Strawbs and Paul Simon and their new album is out now.
Their set at Kontra will be an acoustic one.
Support is by versatile blues roots band, The Outwoods County Riders.
The OCT play a variety of styles, but tomorrow will be playing stripped-down electric North Mississippi hill country blues.
Making up the bill is singer-songwriter and acoustic fingerstyle guitarist, Simon Kempston.
He composes and performs original and contemporary acoustic music steeped in the traditions of folk, Celtic and blues.
Kontra Roots Club is at Kennedy’s Bar, The Tower Sports Ground, Irthlingborough Road, Finedon. Doors open at 8pm and admission is free.
