The Great kNight Folk Club returns on Tuesday with a headline set by Clive Gregson.

Manchester born Gregson started his professional music career in 1980 as the leader of cult band Any Trouble.

Along the road from pop frontman to singer-songwriter he has followed many musical diversions.

A partnership with Christine Collister resulted in five albums and they toured around the world.

Gregson has also worked with Richard Thompson, Nanci Griffith, and Boo Hewerdine.

He was musical director for Dennis Locorriere’s 2007 tour.

His songs have been recorded by Nanci Griffith, Kim Carnes, Fairport Convention, Claire Martin, Norma Waterson and Smokie.

Gregman relocated to the USA in 1993, but continues to tour and writes prolifically.
