The coming week will be packed with music at The Castle in Wellingborough.

Baroque specialists from Fiori Musicali will tomorrow launch a new season celebrating Italian Baroque concertos. The first concert, starting at 12.30pm, will focus on Vivaldi’s chamber concertos. Tickets (including lunch) cost £14 or £12.

Fiori’s director, Penelope Rapson, will also be holding a music appreciation evening next Wednesday, starting at 7.30pm, when visitors will have the chance to explore the world of Handel in the 18th century. Tickets cost £7.50.

On Monday, the theatre will host the Wellingborough Rotary Music Festival Concert, to conclude the 23rd annual Young Mmusician of the Year Competition. The concert starts at 7pm and tickets cost £5 or £2 for under 18s. For events at The Castle call 01933 270007.

On Saturday, Northampton Chamber Choir will be performing at St Matthew’s Church, Northampton, in a concert of choral music for Holy Week, starting at 7.30pm. Music will include Stainer’s Crucifixion. Tickets (available on the door or by calling 01604 635959) cost £10.

Also on Saturday, at 7.30pm, cellist Corinne Malitskie will be guest soloist when the Northampton Concert Orchestra presents its Spring Concert at Abington Avenue United Reformed Church, Northampton. The programme will include music by Haydn, Schubert and Bizet. Tickets cost £6, available on the door.

Tickets are almost sold out for the Belcanto Choir’s concert at St Peter’s Church in Isham on Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8, £7.50 for concessions or £5 for children between seven and 16. Ring 01536 722602.
