The Big Band with Five Star Swing bring their combination of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists to The Castle in Wellingborough next week.
Five Star Swing have performed on BBC TV’s Children in Need, at Dame Vera Lynn’s War Veteran’s Charity Balls and at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom, as well as completing three national theatre tours.
Audiences will be able to enjoy songs from Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Duke Ellington to Sammy Davis Jnr’s Mr Bojangles, plus foot-stomping traditional jazz through to the cool sounds of Miles Davis.
This performance features vocalist and saxophonist, Simone, who has recorded with Paul Weller; band leader Chris Smith Junior and trombone player Mike Innes, who has recorded with the likes of Shirley Bassey, Jools Holland and Gary Barlow.
Mr Smith said: “ It’s great there’s a strong resurgence in jazz and swing music.”

Doors open at 7.30pm.
Tickets costs £17 and are available by calling 01933 270 007 or online at www.thecastle.org.uk
