THE Raunds Music Festival returns for its 12th year this weekend with a line-up of award-winning musicians and international artists.
The festival runs at venues across the town from today until Sunday, and features a line-up that includes The Albion Band, Belshazzar’s Feast, Tim Edey, Lucy Ward, The Baghdaddies, Megson, Rob Halligan, Richard Exall’s Shooting Stars, Ock’nDough, David Gibb & Elly Lucas and Tautas Roks.
Organiser Bob Fisher said: “We are delighted to have such internationally- acclaimed musicians as The Baghdaddies at this year’s festival.
They have been touring the world for 14 years, playing music with Balkan and Middle-Eastern influences, Caribbean grooves and a touch of Geordie.”
Tim Edey won the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year award and Lucy Ward received the Horizon Award for best newcomer.
The Horizon Award also went to Blair Dunlop, who plays and sings with The Albion Band.
Adult weekend tickets cost £55, with day tickets and concessions available.
