Royal & Derngate’s orchestral season begins on Sunday as young violinist Jack Liebeck plays with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert of music by Sibelius, Wagner and Tchaikovsky.
Sibelius’ violin concerto features Liebeck, the winner of the 2010 Classical BRIT Award.
Having made his concerto debut with the Hallé Orchestra aged only 15, he is now established as one of the most compelling violinists on the concert platform performing with many of the world’s leading orchestras.
Liebeck has recently been appointed professor of violin at the Royal Academy of Music.
Conductor Enrique Batiz will be wielding the baton for this evening of music which includes Wagner’s Overture to The Flying Dutchman.
Tickets for Jack Liebeck Plays Sibelius cost £32.50 to £14 with savings available to customers who book for four or more concerts in the orchestral season.
People between 14 and 26-years-old can book any ticket for £11 and tickets for under 14s are £5. The concert on Sunday, September 23 starts at 7.30pm.
