Apache John returns to the Kontra Roots Club in Finedon tomorrow night.
John’s annual visit is one of the club’s most popular nights and the band now features a new line up.
The Apache John Band is a fusion of blues, folk and late 1960s psychedelia.
They are ‘sometimes theatrical, sometimes dark and moody, sometimes amusing’.
Support is by singer-songwriter Kirsty Gallacher.
With evocative, heartfelt stories, she won the 2010 LG Arena Singer-Songwriter Competition, playing in front of Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and Paul Weller.
Making up the bill is virtuoso guitarist, Jonny Martin.
For many years he performed with blues and cover bands, but in 2009 discovered the music of modern acoustic guitar players, such as Eric Roche, which inspired him to switch to acoustic.
Kontra is at Kennedy’s Bar, Irthlingborough Road, Finedon. The club starts at 8pm and admission is free.
