Shock-rock superstar, Alice Cooper, will headline the opening day of Fairport’s Cropredy Convention next week.
The three-day festival takes place near the village of Cropredy, on the border between Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.
Fairport Convention will open the festival on the Thursday with their regular acoustic set. They will be followed by Fake Thackray, Romeo’s Daughter, Edward II and Alice Cooper.
Friday will include sets by Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, Danny & The Champions of the World, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, Moulettes, Lunasa, Martin Barre, Levellers and 10cc.
The final day will feature Richard Digance, Mediaeval Baebes, Brooks Williams, The Dunwells, Peatbog Faeries and Nik Kershaw, before Fairport Convention return to close Cropredy.
Fairport’s Cropredy Convention, near Banbury, runs from Thursday, August 8 until Saturday, August 10.
