Acclaimed genre-bender comes to Northampton

Multi- instrumentalist, composer, producer and DJ Adam Gibbons brings the final show of his Hello Baby tour to Northampton next week.

Gibbons – AKA Lack of Afro – released his fifth studio album earlier this year.With a knack for finding great vocal collaborations, Gibbons raised the bar on Hello Baby, with the album featuring guests including Grammy-award winner Joss Stone, steam-punk hero Professor Elemental and soul singer Elliott Cole.The album is a genre-bending colossus of an record packed with Adam’s trademark multi-instrumental goodness, heavy drums, percussion-packed production and ear for a good tune.It also features soul singer Juliette Ashby, Californian rapper Herbal T and rising star of the northern soul / mod scene Emma Noble.Before and after the show DJs Andy Skank and Phil Istine will be playing a mixture of soul, funk, Latin and ska.Lack of Afro headlines The Picturedrome in Northampton on Friday, November 4.Tickets cost £10.50 in advance before fees via WeGotTicekts and SeeTickets or £13 on the door.
