Now the Northampton Gilbert & Sullivan Group are returning to the Royal Auditorium with Patience, their 63rd production.All the well born young ladies in the village, rapturously caught up in aestheticism, are in love with two contrasting poets, the fleshly Bunthorne and the idyllic Grosvenor.But the poets are in love with Patience, the simple village milkmaid who cares nothing for poetry and doesn’t understand love.The ladies’ military suitors don’t see the point to aestheticism, but decide they will have to become aesthetic if they are to regain the affections of the ladies.Will the suitors win back their ladies’ hearts? Will Patience find love? Ad who will be Bunthorne’s bride?Join the Northampton Gilbert & Sullivan Group as they throw open the gates of Bunthorne’s Castle.The opera will be performed at the Royal Auditorium at 7.30pm from Monday (March 20) through to Saturday March 25, with an additional 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday.Chairman Simon Crask said: “Patience remains a firm favourite with all Gilbert and Sullivan fans, and we are thrilled Leon Berger has returned as director to bring his unique style to this production.
