Enjoy a taste of the continent at a traditional European food and craft fair in Higham Ferrers this weekend.
The town square will be transformed into a bustling market place with continental market traders from countries including France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland and Poland selling their wares.
Dressed in traditional costumes, they will be selling produce including Brittany biscuits, olives, Italian nougat, delectable cheeses, sausages, tartiflette (a delicious cheese and potatoes dish from the Alps), charcuterie, fresh bread and croissants.
For those with a sweet tooth there will also be freshly made crepes.
Shoppers can also browse crafts such as handbags and other leather items, Marseille soaps, lavender, children’s toys and pashminas.
Most of the products on sale will come from each stallholder’s region and made using traditional methods.
The traditional costumes will be from 100 years ago and stalls will also be decorated.
The market will take place on Saturday from 9am until 5pm.
