Classic Clapton returns to The Castle theatre in Wellingborough next week, touring as part of their 30th anniversary tour.

Formed in 1985, Classic Clapton have become something of a rock institution and the cream of the rock ‘n’ roll tribute genre.

Led by Mike Hall, they have a front man who not only looks like Clapton but sings and plays guitar like him and even won a national look-alike competition in 1999.

The whole of Clapton’s career will be covered including Cream, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, The Yardbirds, Derek & The Dominos and the solo years.

The band will perform all of Eric’s classic songs including Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Crossroads, I Shot The Sheriff, Cocaine, Lay Down Sally and Layla and the set will include an ‘unplugged’ section.

The show is on Friday, April 10. Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets cost £15 before fees.
