Pupils from Little Harrowden Primary School swapped their classroom for a showroom when they visited Mercedes Benz of Northampton.
The trip was organised as part of a project being studied by the Year 6 class, about designing and making eco-friendly cars for the future.
Senior teacher Matt Coleman said: “The day started with a tour from Mike Sands, managing director of the company. The children were then split into three groups, where they spent time in the service area, parts department and in the showroom finding out about the sales department.
“The overall objective was to gain some ideas and inspiration for their own design of an eco-friendly vehicle. The children will be expected to present to a panel of experts from Mercedes at the end of February.”
