People have dressed up as their favourite characters from stories by Charles Dickens.

Prizes were awarded for the best Dickensian costumes at a coffee morning held at Desborough Heritage Centre on Saturday.

Ashlee Barber won first prize for dressing as a young scullery maid and second prize was given to Tony Gurney, who went as a Victorian labourer.

The event marked 200 years since Dickens was born.
