Dancers had a chance to perform like a diva in aid of a good cause.

Fitness Factory held a Diva Dance-a-thon in aid of Lakelands Hospice on Monday.

Debbie Deathridge, owner of the gym in Elizabeth Street, Corby, said about 50 people took part raising a total of more than £450.

She said: “We went back to the 1980s and danced to divas like Kylie Minogue and Madonna and got to dance to them like a diva.

“Lots and lots of people turned up dressed up in tutus and leg warmers. It was good fun.

“We are trying to think up another fundraising event to do at the end of June for a cancer charity.

“We chose it because Lakelands is a local charity and we would rather support them than someone else.”
