Animals and Friends will be playing some of rock and roll’s best known hits at The Castle Theatre next week.

The Animals rose to fame in the 1960s with a string of hits including We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood and their transatlantic chart topping cover of House Of The Rising Sun.

Since disbanding at the end of the 1960s, there have been numerous versions of the band, brief reunions and dozens of different members.

The line up currently includes original members John Steel and Mick Gallagher on drums and keyboards. They are joined by guitarist and singer Danny Handley and bassist and singer Scott Whitely.

Animals & Friends play the Wellingborough venue on Thursday, April 30.

Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets cost £17 in advance before fees.

The Bobby Wellins Quartet headline the venue on the same night. Doors open at 8pm, tickets cost £12.50 in advance before fees.
