Alternative distorted pop trio, The Xcerts, headline The Roadmender next week.

The band is on tour supporting the release of their new single, I Don’t Care, which is released on Monday.

The Xcerts released their latest album, There Is Only Your, in November

Frontman Murray McLeod said: “When we were demoing There Is Only You, I Don’t Care went through countless changes lyrically.

“It was a pretty frustrating time for me personally as I wanted the chorus to be as big and as simple as possible, but I just couldn’t find the finish line.

“The overall meaning of the song is about reaching breaking point with someone who is clearly upset about something you’ve done or said, yet refuses to express why.”

Support is by US trio Heyrocco who release their debut album Teenage Movie Soundtrack in June.

The album described as a perfect marriage of grungy angst and bubblegum pop.

Both bands play the Roadmender in Northampton on Wednesday, April 22. Doors open at 7.30pm, advance tickets cost £7.50 before fees.
