An author who appeared on the shortlist for a prestigious national novel prize has failed to make it through to the final.
Sue Moorcroft, of Pytchley Road, Kettering, was nominated for the Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA) top award, the Romantic Novel of the Year 2013.
Her novel, Dream a Little Dream, was one of six to have been put forward in the contemporary romantic novel category, for mainstream romantic novels set post-1960.
But Katie Fforde was chosen as best in this category with Recipe for Love.
Other category winners, who will now go on to contest the overall title of Romantic Novel of the Year, are Rowan Coleman (Epic Romantic Novel), Charlotte Betts (Historical Romantic Novel), Jenny Colgan (Romantic Comedy Novel), and Victoria Lamb (Young Adult Romantic Novel).
The winner will be announced on May 16.
The Bodecia Book Club’s review of Sue Moorcroft’s book will appear on our website soon.
