Saints have signed former Gloucester hooker Koree Britton on a deal until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old will be a travelling reserve for the Aviva Premiership clash with Bath at the Recreation Ground on Friday night.

Britton still had a year to run on his Gloucester deal, but was allowed to look for a new club and eventually left by mutual consent.

He is a forward of some pedigree, having represented England at age-grade level and having played 30 times for Gloucester.

Britton will bolster the forward ranks at Saints, with two hookers currently unavailable through injury.

Club captain Dylan Hartley has a shoulder injury, while Matt Williams broke his leg in the recent clash with London Irish.

Ross McMillan will start against Bath this evening, with Mike Haywood, who is returning to full fitness after a shoulder problem, on the bench.
