Last week’s defeat needs to be just a blip in Oundle’s season.
That is the view of head coach Peter Croot.
They ambitious men from Occupation Road lost 2212 at St Ives last time out.
Now they face league leaders St Neots this weekend and another loss could open up a gap between Oundle and promotion chasers.
“Last week we showed we had the personnel to be the best but did not perform in key areas,” Croot explained.
“Our mistakes let St Ives in for 15 of their 22 points.
“We cannot afford a second slip at this stage of the season, with three tough fixtures defining the rest of our season.”
The side for this week sees the return of Will Griffiths at fly-half, with Colt Ben Milbourne dropping to the bench.
Nick Cobley keeps the scrum-half slot and the back row is beefed up by the return of Seb Whitehouse.
The only other change is in the backs where another Colt, Lewis Still, comes in on the wing for the unavailable Ollie Rees.
After dominating the lineout last week, Harry Doubleday gets the nod in the second row.
