Stephen Myler has been ruled out of Saturday’s east midlands derby against Leicester Tigers at Franklin’s Gardens.

The fly-half has missed the club’s past two games with a hamstring problem, and he has not recovered in time to take on Leicester.

That means Will Hooley will continue at number 10, and he will be partnered in the half-backs by Kahn Fotuali’i, who comes into the team in place of Lee Dickson.

That is one of three changes that director of rugby Jim Mallinder has made from the team which lost 19-6 at Sale Sharks last Saturday.

Also getting recalls are George Pisi, who comes in at outside centre, and Phil Dowson, who will play in the back row, with Tom Wood switching to play at No.8.

Saints team to play Leicester, Franklin’s Gardens, Saturday, March 29, (ko 3.15pm): Ben Foden; Jamie Elliott, George Pisi, Luther Burrell, George North; Will Hooley, Kahn Fotuali’i; Alex Waller, Dylan Hartley, Salesi Ma’afu, Courtney Lawes, Christian Day, Calum Clark, Phil Dowson, Tom Wood.

Replacements: Mike Haywood, Ethan Waller, Tom Mercey, James Craig, GJ van Velze, Lee Dickson, James Wilson, Ken Pisi
