Alan Dickens says Lions stars George North and Alex Corbisiero will be available for selection for Saints’ clash with Wasps on Saturday.

And Dickens has also revealed Lee Dickson and Christian Day will return to boost the squad ahead of a key run of games.

Corbisiero has not played for Saints since October, with a knee injury ruling him out for the long term.

North missed last weekend’s trip to Bath with a calf injury sustained against Harlequins a week earlier, while Dickson (groin) and Day (calf) have also been back in training.

“We’ve got a few people back,” said Dickens.

“Alex Corbisiero is due back and other players who have been injured aren’t too far off.

“George has trained fully this week so he’ll be in the mix as well for the weekend.

“Most of the boys who have been out are available for selection this week.”

Dylan Hartley, who suffered a shoulder injury in the game against Leicester in March, is also expected back in the not too distant future.

And Dickens admits the return of key men is a huge boost, with a Premiership semi-final and an Amlin Challenge Cup final on the horizon.

“It’s massive to have them back,” said the assistant coach.

“You can’t legislate for how many injuries you get throughout the season, but if they start coming back now that’s positive for us.”
