Ben Foden is optimistic he will be fit to return for Saints’ clash with Worcester on February 15.

The England full-back has been out since suffering a knee injury in the 18-0 win against Newcastle Falcons at Franklin’s Gardens on November 23.

He has missed Saints’ past 10 games and is not likely to be considered for Saturday’s trip to Exeter Chiefs.

But Foden, who is back in training, is confident he can be available for the Premiership visit of Worcester a week on Saturday.

“Another running session done, that’s two now! can’t wait for next week hopefully back in the fold for Worcester! #strongerfaster #Boom,” said the 28-year-old on social networking site Twitter.
