Saints have announced the signing of Newcastle Falcons and England prop Kieran Brookes.
The 24-year-old will move to Franklin’s Gardens this summer, replacing Salesi Ma’afu, who is moving to Toulon.
Brookes, who has played for England Saxons and the Under 20s, has won six caps for the senior side.
And Saints boss Jim Mallinder believes he is a player of immense potential.
“Kieran has steadily risen through the various England representative teams and has shown his quality at each level, building up experience along the way,” Mallinder said.
“However while we believe that he can contribute a great deal to our squad we also think that Kieran has a lot more to come, and we are looking forward to seeing him develop as a player at Franklin’s Gardens.”
