Alex Corbisiero could make his first Saints appearance since October after being named among the replacements for Saturday’s Aviva Premiership clash with Wasps (ko 3.15pm).
The England loosehead prop has not played for his club since injuring his knee in the Heineken Cup defeat at Castres, with Alex Waller proving an able deputy.
Corbisiero will be joined on the Saints bench by Koree Britton, who could make his debut having signed a deal to the end of the season following his release by Gloucester.
Kahn Fotuali’i, George Pisi, Samu Manoa and Tom Wood also form part of the strong list of substitutes with boss Jim Mallinder opting to freshen things up.
George North returns from a calf injury to take his place on the wing, while Lee Dickson and Christian Day are also back in the starting 15.
Hooker Mike Haywood comes in for Ross McMillan, who has sustained a shoulder injury, but there is no place for captain Dylan Hartley, who continues to recover from his shoulder problem.
Meanwhile, Wasps have taken the decision to leave out a trio of players, James Haskell, Joe Simpson and Matt Mullan, ahead of next week’s Rugby Champions Cup play-off first leg against Stade Francais.
Dai Young’s squad is also missing a host of injury victims, including Will Helu, Andrea Masi and England wing Christian Wade.
