Kettering host Towcestrians this weekend in Midlands One East with both sides needing a win but for completely different reasons.

The visitors are competing at the top end of the table and need the points to remain in contention at this early stage of the season.

The Blues, in contrast, will be aiming to climb out of the bottom three over the coming weeks - especially after collecting their first win of the season last week at home to Paviors.

They have even more incentive to perform well this weekend as the club holds its annual Former Players Lunch so there will be a few extra critical eyes watching proceedings.

Those that were at last year’s event will be hoping for a repeat performance as they were entertained by Kettering crushing eventual champions Derby by 40 points while playing some of the best rugby seen at Waverley Road for many years.

The Blues side is much changed from that day, fielding at least 10 alterations to the side which took to the field on that occasion.

However nothing changes from last week. Having picked up their first success the selectors stick with the same starting line-up for the first time this season.

It means another chance to start for Ryan Conyard and Kieron Cox who both made their first-team debuts last week.

The only changes come on the bench where Jonty Hallett is expected to be fit and covers the backs.

He replaces Ben Dawson who has a full run out at fly-half for the seconds after benching for the past three weeks.

Terry Pell returns releasing second-team skipper Luis Santos to revert to his side.

Kettering from: Ling, Fraher, Cox, Noble, Bishop, Chapman, Scarr, Keir R, Conyard, Daniel, Renard, Newman, Neild, Cox, Taylor, Pell, Williamson, Hallett.
