Emily Williams of Kettering Harriers produced a wonderful performance to claim a silver medal at the English Schools National Track and Field Championship at the Gateshead International Stadium.
The 14-year-old came second in the Junior Girls 800m final in a time of 2:12:35 to finish behind Devon’s Molly Canham.
She had earlier won her heat to book her place in the final.
Also representing Harriers were Jack Hope and Erin Healy.
Hope finished just outside the medals in the Senior Boys 2,000m steeplechase. His time of 6:04:46 saw him finish fourth out of 10 runners.
Healy missed out on a place in the final of the Junior Girls 200m as she finished sixth in her heat.
