Sharman gets another Commonwealth Games silver

William Sharman collected his second silver medal in successive Commonwealth Games as he finished runner-up in the 110m hurdles.

The 29-year-old from Corby, who finished behind countryman Andy Turner in Delhi four years ago, looked like he was going to one better in Glasgow.

He led for a large chunk of the race but clattered hurdle eight and lost his rhythm completely.

It allowed Jamaican Andrew Riley to edge ahead of him at the end and claim the gold medal.
