Corby gymnast Daniel Keatings confirmed his return to form as he secured the parallel bars title at the British Championships in Liverpool..

Having taken bronze in the all-around men’s seniors competition on Saturday, which was the final Olympic trial, Keatings – who trains at Huntingdon Olympic Gymnastics Club – was back on Sunday to compete in the individual apparatus.

And his highlight was a score of 15.700 in the men’s masters parallel bars while he also secured third in the high bar with a score of 14.575.

Keatings and the other senior gymnasts now await the Olympic team selection. The official announcement will be made on July 4.
