Corby gymnast Daniel Keatings is in good shape for success after his first day of competition at the Commonwealth Games.
He is part of Scotland’s team - along with Dan Purvis, Frank Baines, Adam Cox and Liam Davie were - who sit second with 127.240 behind leaders England (133.806).
The team competitions are held over today and tomorrow and also double as individual qualifications for the all-around and apparatus finals.
Five gymnasts make up a team - four of whom can compete on each apparatus. The team score is then calculated by totalling the top three scores on each piece.
The top 24 who have competed on each piece of apparatus will take part in Wednesday’s all-around finals while the top eight on each piece will progress to individual apparatus finals.
Only half the apparatus is competed on in the first day with qualification confirmed tomorrow night when the circuit is completed.
