There was a healthy turnout for the penultimate day of the Frostbite Series at Hollowell Sailing Club with some 30 boats taking part.
Laser sailor Simon Cray was on form – winning all three races and presenting series leader, Keith Lancaster, with some serious challenges.
Rob Dunkley, in his Blaze, gained an early lead in the first race but Simon Cray and Bill Warden both made headway on him.
By the end, Cray had done enough to secure first place ahead of Dunkley, with Warden coming in third.
The wind picked up slightly in the afternoon, allowing Lancaster, in his Solo to advance,
However, Cray continued his winning streak, to take the next two races.
Warden picked up another third place slot, just beating young Teddy Middleton-Smith onto the podium.
Andy Baker, who had been trailing in the mid sections, had a spectacular run in the final race to grab himself a third place.
With just two more days to run, Lancaster still leads overall. However both Cray and Dunkley are making up ground.
