William Sharman booked his place in tonight’s Commonwealth Games 110m hurdles final after a battling qualification run..
The 29-year-old from Corby tussled with Ryan Braithwaite in the the third heat but did enough to move on to the main event.
There will be no repeat of England’s 1-2-3 from Delhi, however.
Defending champion Andy Turner is out leaving Sharman and Lawrence Clarke as the country’s remaining representatives.
The final is scheduled to start at 8.45pm this evening at Hampden Park.
