Desborough Town boss Steve Walker has his sights set on a place in the next round of the FA Vase.

Ar Tarn, fresh from a 4-0 thumping of Wellingborough Town in the UCL Premier Division on Tuesday evening, host Irchester United at Waterworks Field.

And Walker said: “When the (Vase) draw was made we identified it as three games we thought we could win.

“Our confidence is high and we’re hoping to capitalise on the fact Irchester have had a hard time recently.

“But we know that no game is easy and we’ll have to work hard for a result.”

Daren Young, back for a second spell at Occupation Road, sees his S&L Corby side entertain Raunds and he thinks they will have to be on their game to get the desired outcome.

“I’ve got every respect for every club in the UCL in both divisions and we’ll have to scrap to beat them,” he said.

Rushden & Higham also have a home tie in the competition and they welcome Eynesbury to Hayden Road, AFC Rushden & Diamonds host Fakenham, Thrapston travel to CU Press and Whitworth visit Swaffham.

In the UCL, managerless Wellingborough Town are on the road at Shepshed Dynamo.
