AFC Rushden & Diamonds made it two wins from two in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division with a comfortable 4-0 success over Sileby Rangers at the Dog & Duck.

A crowd of 521 were on hand to see Mark Starmer’s men follow up their 3-2 weekend success at Deeping Rangers with another victory, which never looked in doubt once Russ Dunkley had put them in front.

That breakthrough came after Fazel Koriya had missed a penalty but the summer signing made up for it by converting another spot-kick before the break before completing his hat-trick and the scoring with two more after half-time.

It was a remarkable night for managerless Stewarts & Lloyds as they claimed their first point of the season at AFC Kempston.

The Foundrymen fought back from 4-1 down to secure an incredible 4-4 draw as they bounced back from an opening-day defeat at Yaxley.

Elsewhere, Desborough Town claimed a second draw in as many games as they drew 0-0 at Long Buckby and there was an identical scoreline for Wellingborough Town as they got off the mark with a good point at Cogenhoe United.
