Two local derbies are the highlight of a busy evening of action in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League tonight.

Two sides looking to bounce back from a disappointing weekend in Division One collide at the Dog & Duck as AFC Rushden & Diamonds take on Rushden & Higham United.

Diamonds’ promotion hopes suffered a setback on Saturday as they were heavily beaten 5-1 at second-placed Oadby Town while Aidy Mann’s team lost 1-0 at home to Whitworth.

On the other side of the County, Rothwell Corinthians host Raunds Town, who felt the wrath of leaders Sileby Rangers on Saturday when they were beaten 8-0 at Kiln Park. Corinthians, on the other hand, enjoyed a good weekend as they returned from Wootton Blue Cross with a 2-1 victory.

Bottom side Burton Park Wanderers, beaten 5-0 at home by ON Chenecks last time out, face a tough trip to Eynesbury Rovers while Thrapston Town meet Bourne Town for the second time in three days. Bourne claimed a 3-1 victory at Chancery Lane on Saturday.

Whitworth are back in action tomorrow night when they have the daunting prospect of a trip over the Northampton to take on leaders Sileby.

Premier Division side Desborough Town have a tough game ahead of them this evening as they head to league high-fliers St Ives in the second round of the Knockout Cup.

Ar Tarn head into the clash on the back of a 2-2 draw at Sleaford at the weekend while St Ives suffered a 5-1 defeat at Huntingdon Town in the semi-final of the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup. However, St Ives have suffered just one defeat in the league this season.
