Jason Turner was in scintillating form as Wellingborough Town thumped Boston Town in the Chromasport & trophies UCL Premeir Division.

The striker netted five times as the Doughboys recorded a comprehensive 6-2 victory at the Dog & Duck.

Turner had already reached his hat-trick before the break as the hosts enjoyed their half-time cuppa with a 3-1 advantage and he added two more in the second period - Robert Parker getting the other - as their superiority was emphasised.

Luke Churchill’s strike cancelled out Tom Siddons’ opener as Desborough drew 1-1 at Sleaford and there was a similar scoreline at Peterborough Northern Star where AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who had Fazel KJoriya on target, had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The other top flight game was at Spalding where S&L Corby sufferd a 4-0 reverse.

In Division One, irchester made it seven games without defeat as they beat Peterborough Sports by a 4-2 margin.

Joshus Burge, Bleu McNeil, Lewis Moses and Matthew Judge were on target for the Romans.

Rothwell Corinthians’ good form continued as they downed Bugbrooke St Michaels 4-2 at home, Sam Johnson and Shaun Morris netting a brace apiece in the victory.

Thrapston only had a Stefan Gatting goal to show for their efforts as they were thrashed 5-1 at Oadby.

The clash between Burton Park Wanderers and Raunds ended in a 1-1 stalemate, Cavell Jarvis goal for the home side cancelling out David Coales’ opener for Raunds.

Rushden & Higham also collected a point as they drew 1-1 at Harrowby.

Harry May had given the Lankies the lead and it too a disputed penalty in injury time to earn the high-flying Harrowby a share of the points.
