Weldon United’s unbeaten start to the MDH Teamwear Northants Combination Premier Division was ended as Brixworth won the top-of-the-table clash 2-1 to move one point clear at the summit.

Elsewhere, Earls Barton’s good start continued as they beat Corby S&L Khalsa 2-0 while Welford Victoria’s charge up the table continued with a 1-0 win over JK Blisworth.

Corby Pegasus are the only team in the top flight without a win but they claimed a 1-1 draw with Roade as Scott Grant cancelled out Andrew Watts’ goal.

Daniel Surridge hit the only goal as Harpole beat Kettering Nomads while Brian Farrell and Stuart Macmichael were on target in Stanion Redstar’s 2-0 success over Milton.

Ringstead Rangers, meanwhile, saw off Corby DGL Locomotives 3-1 thanks to Ashley Marsden, Alastair Melia and Daniel Tarr.

Leaders Corby Eagles are still unbeaten in Division One after a 6-1 success against town rivals Strip Mills.

Wootton St George are level on points with the table-toppers thanks to a 3-2 win over Kettering Orchard Park while third-placed Gretton edged out Corby Grampian 2-1.

Burton United are still going well and they thrashed Wilby 6-0 thanks to Jamie Baston-Fane, Stephen Hendry, Marc Jackson, Jamie Smith, Lewis McIntyre and Brendan Tyrell.

There were also wins for Old Grammarians, who beat Stanwick Rovers 2-0, and Wollaston Victoria who saw off Clipston 4-0.

Elsewhere, Heyford edged out Walgrave Amber 2-1.

Goals from Sean Conopo, Benjamin Drinkwater, James Feasey and Matthew Goode ensured Weedon retained their 100 per cent record in Division Two with a 4-2 success over Corby Ravens.

But they are being chased hard by Finedon Volta who beat Grange Park Rangers 5-2.

Gavin Ledgeway and Liam Ledgeway handed Kettering Park Rovers a 2-0 victory over Borough Alliance while Darren Taylor (2), Jed Brennan and Michael Fielding secured Drayton Grange’s 4-0 verdict against SPA.

George McArthur hit a hat-trick as West Haddon beat Higham Town 7-1. Daniel Smith (2), Aaron Shepherd and Joe Smith made up the tally.

Bottom side FC Titchmarsh put up a good fight against Ferrers but were eventually beaten 4-2 while Spratton had Anthony Orji, Matthew Pheely and Tim Brown on target in the 3-3 draw with FC Higham.

Leaders Northampton Mereway beat Northampton AFC Obelisk 2-0 in Division Three.

But second-placed Wellingborough Rising Sun have two games in hand on the table-toppers and maintained their challenge with a 4-1 success against PL United.

Corby AFC Shamrock got back on track with a 3-0 success against AFC Rothwell while the all-Corby clash between Kingswood and Hellenic went the way of the latter by a 4-2 scoreline.

Marko Dordic, Sam Murray, Karl Woodley and substitute Lewis McDonald were on target for Hellenic.

Wellingborough Gleneagles were held to a 2-2 draw by Desborough & Rothwell United while Kettering Ise Lodge moved of the bottom of the table with a 4-1 victory over Irthlingborough Rangers.

In the division’s other game, Kislingbury were too strong for Wellingborough Aztecs as they won 6-0.

Bugbrooke A left their poor league form behind and saw off Roade Reserves by a 3-2 scoreline in the Reserve Premier Division Cup 3-2 to book their place into the next round.

Lee McEwan hit a hat-trick as Stanion Redstar beat Corby Pegasus 5-2 in the Reserve Premier Division while Brendan Callaghan and David McIntyre were also on target.

Kettering Nomads beat Weldon United 4-1, Moulton saw off Brixworth 3-1 and the game between Harpole and Ringstead Rangers finished goalless.

Wollaston Victoria edged out Heyford 4-3 in Reserve Division One as Gavin Boddington, Daniel Parker, Gary Roberts and Lee Skilton outscored Jordan Collins (2) and Harleigh East.

Welford Victoria and Earls Barton drew 2-2 with David Concar and Rob Tanser on target for the former.

Weldon United A saw off Old Grammarians 2-0 while Wootton St George thrashed Kettering Orchard Park 8-0.

Matthew Farrell (2) and Adam Smith helped Weedon beat leaders Bugbrooke B 3-0 in Reserve Division Two.

Corby Hellenic were beaten 3-0 by Spratton but Corby Eagles beat town rivals Strip Mills 7-1.

In the other matches, FC Titchmarsh drew 2-2 with Finedon Volta while third-placed Gretton hammered Higham Town 10-0.

West Haddon Albion, meanwhile, claimed a 4-2 victory over Stanwick Rovers.
