Ian Walker sealed his first win as manager of Desborough Town as they claimed a 2-0 success over struggling Sileby Rangers at the S6 Stadium.
Former Sileby man Shaun Goodall gave Ar Tarn the lead just past the hour mark and Mark Redding added the second with seven minutes to go to leave Sileby boss Daren Young without a win in his first three matches at the helm.
Stewarts & Lloyds slipped to another defeat but not before they had given Peterborough Northern Star a scare or two.
Fraser Glover headed Kevin Byrne’s side into the lead after 23 minutes but the hosts replied quickly through Jonny Clay.
Northern Star took the lead before half-time through Ondre Odain but Jay Arnold brought S&L level again 10 minutes into the second half.
However, a fine curling finish from Odain just three minutes later proved decisive as the home side secured a 3-2 success.
