Irchester United have been handed a home draw in the first round proper of the FA Vase.

The Romans earned their place yesterday’s (Monday) draw thanks to a 3-1 victory over Crawley Green at Alfred Street on Saturday as Jack Dyson hit a hat-trick.

Steve Sargent’s men will now face Fakenham Town at home on November 1 as they bid to continue their run.

Irchester are back in action tonight (Tuesday) when they entertain Division One rivals Stewarts & Lloyds in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Knockout Cup.

Raunds Town, who are second in Division One, are also in cup action as they take on Blackstones at Kiln Park while Whitworth take on Premier Division side Harborough Town at London Road.

There is also action in the league as well with Burton Park Wanderers facing a stiff test at Latimer Park when they face leaders Lutterworth Athletic.

Rushden & Higham United, meanwhile, will be looking to build on their 4-0 victory over St Neots Town Saints at the weekend when they welcome Potton United to Hayden Road.
