The first midweek action of the season takes place in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division tonight (Tuesday).

And new boys AFC Rushden & Diamonds will be looking to make it two wins out of two in their first home game of the campaign after enjoying a fine start with a 3-2 success at Deeping Rangers on Saturday.

Mark Starmer’s men take on Sileby Rangers at the Dog & Duck as they come up against the side who pipped them to the Division One title last season.

Sileby, now under the management of Scott Goodwin, suffered a 3-1 defeat at title favourites Spalding United at the weekend, despite taking a first-half lead.

Desborough Town also enjoyed an encouraging start to the new campaign after a 1-1 home draw with Huntingdon Town.

This evening Steve Walker’s team make the trip to Long Buckby, who drew 3-3 with AFC Kempston on Saturday.

Wellingborough Town began the new season with a 3-1 home defeat to highly-fancied Wisbech Town and face another tough task tonight.

They make the short trip to Cogenhoe United, who claimed an impressive 3-1 success at Boston Town on the opening weekend.

Stewarts & Lloyds are on the road again tonight after starting with a 4-1 loss at Yaxley.

The Corby team travel to AFC Kempston with Lee Duffy set to be in charge again as the search for Daren Young’s replacement continues following his shock resignation last week.
