A local derby takes centre-stage in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division tonight (Tuesday) as Stewarts & Lloyds take on Desborough Town at Occupation Road.

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from 3-0 defeats at the weekend as S&L went down at Holbeach United in the league while Desborough, under caretaker-manager Richard Scott, saw their FA Vase hopes ended at Blaby & Whetstone.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds return to league action with a trip to fourth-placed Yaxley after their FA Vase heroics at the weekend.

The 10-man Diamonds played with defender Jake Gillingwater in goal for the whole of their second-round clash at AFC Wulfrunians but still claimed a 4-2 success after extra-time.

Mark Starmer’s men have been rewarded with a home tie against Derbyshire-based Graham Street Prims in the third round on December 7 but their focus is back on the UCL Premier Division this evening.

Wellingborough Town moved up to sixth place thanks to their 1-0 home win over Sleaford Town on Saturday and they are at the Dog & Duck again this evening as they host struggling Newport Pagnell.

Raunds Town, meanwhile, will play a part in a piece of history for ON Chenecks as they are the visitors for the first-ever game under floodlights at Billing Road in Division One.

The Shopmates continued their decent start to the campaign with a 2-2 draw at local rivals Thrapston Town last Friday.

Rothwell Corinthians are very much one of the form sides in Division One at the moment and they will be hoping their unbeaten run continues in the Hinchingbrooke Cup as they take on UCL Premier Division outfit Peterborough Northern Star at Seargents Lawn.
