Kettering Town’s home clash with Ashford Town (Middx) today (Saturday) has been postponed.

The Latimer Park pitch was already heavy before more rain arrived last night and a local referee inspected the surface this morning before calling the Calor League Division One Central match off.

The Poppies now have to wait a full week before returning to action when they head to fellow play-off contenders Northwood next weekend.

The big game of the day in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division between AFC Rushden & Diamonds and leaders Spalding United has also been called off due to a waterlogged pitch at the Dog & Duck.

And Stewarts & Lloyds’ home game with Peterborough Northern Star has also been postponed.
